Over the past few days I've just been doing random things around the city.... Went to Queen Victoria night market on Wednesday which is crazy. The whole market stretches for 3 blocks and it took us about 3 hours to walk around it. You can buy anything from cheap CD-Rs (which I did) to bongos to clothes!
Steve and Webber will also be glad to know that I have had a haircut! I was planning to just let it grow til I got back home to save the hassle of getting it cut....however, while walking around the city the other day, a random guy came up to me and markus and offered us free haircuts at a hair salon training place! We walked into a big room full of hair-stylists and were handed off to two random trainees. I declined free highlights (!) but said they could pretty much do whatever they wanted as long as it looked good..... Surprisingly, I ended up with a similar cut to what I usually have....bit longer and I have random lines shaved into my sidies but they'll grow out in a day or two.
We realised yesterday that we are living a 2 min walk from where the Melbourne formula one racing track is being built. Myself and Markus took a trip over there to look and you can actually drive on the track (although it isn't complete yet). Couldn't resist taking the car for a bit of a spin around it.....
Anyway, we popped into the building company's office and managed to get some casual labour work there starting in a weeks time! So I'm gonna be involved in building a formula one racing track....well, ill probably be carrying fence poles or something but the pay is cool anyway!
On the way back we saw a formula one car being unloaded from the back of a truck. Its amazing how small the thing is, I dunno if I'd even fit inside it!
Off to look around the botanic gardens today, should be good :)
